OUR STORY
Prime Care Nursing was started by Mississippi native, Emry Oxford, RN, BSN, MS, in 1987.
Emry worked as a Critical Care RN for agencies within his home state and in Louisiana for many years.
While on assignment in New Orleans, he had a business idea that would allow him to continue living out his passion for helping others as a nurse, yet in a greater capacity.
When Emry returned to Mississippi his idea became a reality, and Prime Care Nursing was born.
Emry utilized his connections and resources to hire a small group of qualified, compassionate nurses for the initial team and even worked many of the shifts himself.
As the company has flourished to become a leading nurse staffing agency, Emry has transitioned away from clinical work to spend more time as the true visionary leader of Prime Care Nursing.
Prime Care Nursing supports the American Heart Association and is a member of the Circle of Red.
